“Art is a felony. Just like any other crime, requires means, motive and opportunity.”

The unnoticed detail that just gives that vibe, the inner thud of that simple shape, the matter lightly touched, softly injured; the darkness highlighted; the shine out of nothing and nowhere. Art to me is not an answer, it’s a question. For Art is demanding, to me, to anyone. It reflects back to us our own questions. And it mirrors of the truth.

Emanuel Gargano was born in Assisi, Umbria where he was creatively and sentimentally formed and where he still maintains his home, despite the many experiences that often see him present in many places around the world. After studying at ISIA in Urbino, he moved to London and collaborated with important designers, managing to realize his vocation aimed at conpenetrating the concepts of "emptiness" and "nothingness" in space and art. Currently, his professional life takes place between his studio in New York and his workshop in Assisi, where he studies and develops his artistic and spiritual approach in different areas. It is difficult to confine such multifaceted activity to one professional field since his work ranges from art to architecture, from industrial design to the study of light. His work reveals a deep fascination with the matter of natural elements that he uses and molds, searching for their inner soul; probably the same thing that life is continuing to do with him day by day.
